WHAT CREAM CAME FROM

The history of light cream can be traced back to the ancient Greek and Roman periods. In those days, people were already using dairy products to prepare food and snacks. Back then, making light cream was not an easy task! People needed to shake fresh milk by hand and wait patiently for the milk fat to coalesce into cream. This process required not only strength, but also time and patience.

It wasn’t until the 18th century that steam-powered machines were finally invented, which made the making of cream much easier. The steam engine provided enough power to separate the milk fat from the milk to form cream. The advent of this invention put the production of cream on an industrial track.

With the advancement of technology, the process of making light cream has been improved. Modern light cream production is usually achieved by blending cream and whey at high speed. This method provides more precise control over the texture and mouthfeel of the cream, offering more convenience and creativity in baking and dessert making.
